Frequently Asked Questions

How do MadiDrops Work?

MadiDrop Tablets are made from a patented ceramic material which is infused with silver. When exposed to water, the tablet releases silver ions which are historically known to kill biological contaminants. Proper use of a MadiDrop tablet will kill 99.99% of microbiological contamination, including Crypto Sporidia, Giardia and E. Coli, within 12 hours.

Are MadiDrops Safe?

Silver is a well known disinfectant that has been used for hundreds of years to kill biological contamination in water. Silver is perfectly safe to consume in small amounts. The amount of silver released into water when using the MadiDrop tablet properly is less than 1% of the EPA's defined maximum safe intake of silver per day. Extensive testing has been performed by the University of Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Science and School of Medicine spanning over 6 years. This research was then independently validated by the University of Maine, Seeds of Hope, Faith in Water, Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, and NSF International.

Do You Offer Humanitarian Pricing?

Helping disaster victims and providing relief during a crisis wherever in the world that might be is a founding tenant of our company. Consequently, we provide aggressively discounted prices on all our products, including the MadiDrop tablet, for use in non-profit and humanitarian projects. Please contact us using the link at the top of the page and we'll be happy to provide that information.

Do MadiDrops Remove Heavy Metals and Chemicals?

The MadiDrop tablet itself only kills biological contaminants. To remove heavy metals and chemical contamination, you will need to purchase the MadiDrop Companion. The MadiDrop Companion first filters 5 gallons of turbid water (containing particles, metals and chemicals) through 2 gravity 1 micron carbon filters. The water is then exposed to the MadiDrop tablet which kills the remaining biological contaminants.

Does the MadiDrop Companion Desalinate Salt Water?

No. Desalination is a more extensive process and requires special filtering and equipment. The MadiDrop tablet nor the MadiDrop Companion filtration systems does not impact the salt content of water.
